The Internship Hub

My final week at Zooma - reflections on my learnings

As my internship comes to an end, I'm feeling grateful and inspired. Over the last few months, I've had the chance to explore different areas of marketing, develop a site, and discover more about what excites me professionally. Here's my last article for the Internship Hub.

It's the last day of my internship, and I can't believe how fast time has gone. Looking back at these past 3.5 months, I almost feel like another person. It will be hard leaving now that I feel like a fully fledged member of the Zooma team. But hopefully, this is not the last time we'll work together!

I want to take this opportunity to reflect and summarise what I learned from the internship and the knowledge I'll take with me going forward.

Project management.

During these past months, I've become my internship project manager, which has been incredibly valuable. I have always been structured and made lists for everything, but I'm on another level after this time.

Content creation

I love being creative, and creating content has been one of the things I've enjoyed the most. We've done everything from video, photo and podcast production to social media and blog content.

Strategy

Another area I'm interested in is strategy. I've gained experience with strategic planning and execution across various marketing initiatives, and I enjoy thinking about the bigger picture—how all parts come together to drive results.

Copy

Writing articles and texts for the e-com site, LinkedIn, Instagram posts, and blog posts has given me confidence in copywriting that engages and attracts.

CMS

Working in HubSpot and Shopify has brought competence to add to my CV. My comprehensive use of Shopify while developing Zooma's e-commerce site has made me confident in always being able to learn new things if you're decisive.

HubSpot Academy Certifications

The HubSpot certificates have added another dimension to my learnings, where I have learnt how Zooma works and how the industry works.

Campaign planning

Being involved in several campaign planning sessions has given me insights into the workflow, what to consider when planning and best practices.

These are the highlights of what I learned, but there is much more to it. Now, I'm off to do my final paper before my examination, but I I am grateful for having worked with each Zoomer in some way, and I hope to see you again!

Best wishes!
