A recap of Elmia Lastbil 2026

It's safe to say that our visit to Elmia Lastbil last week with our longstanding customers, VBG and Onspot, was an inspiring and educational trip! To shed some light on our learnings and great experiences, let's recap the highlights. 

Anna, Doug, and I were surprised at the size of the fair and the variety of exhibitors, displaying everything from large trailers and truck cranes to small LED lights and driving lessons.

It was a pleasure to visit VBG and Onspot's tent, where both familiar and new faces were present. We also saw the new Onspot Electric product release for lightweight vehicles and a private demo of VBG's Driver Assist, which included a complete system setup.

With an inspirational seminar schedule, we took part in industry talks on how sustainability drivers are shifting the way fleet purchases are made for electric and diesel trucks, with demand for diesel decreasing, thereby reducing the future resale value of the assets. It was an interesting observation about how industry patterns are changing in the way fleet owners approach their investments today, and how positive the feedback is from drivers using electric vehicles.
