Last week, all Zoomers stepped away from our regular workplaces for two days and headed to Sju Sjöar for our annual kick-off.
As always, the destination was kept secret. We only knew when to meet and what to pack. After making our way into the Swedish countryside, we arrived at Sju Sjöar, surrounded by forests, lakes and plenty of space to focus on each other and the days ahead.
Revisiting our business foundation

An important part of our annual kick-off is reviewing and refreshing Zooma's business foundation.
Working in smaller groups, we discussed who we are, the role we want Zooma to have for our customers, what we want to accomplish and what needs to evolve as the world around us changes.
The business foundation is something we return to every year. The purpose isn't necessarily to change everything, but to ensure that what we have written still reflects where we are and where we want to go.
Alongside the foundation work, we had several other group tasks that encouraged us to think, discuss and work together in different ways.
A different kind of teamwork

The two days weren't only about workshops and discussions.
We also swapped laptops for clay during a pottery session, slowed things down with yoga, spent time outdoors, ate very well and had plenty of time to sit, talk and enjoy each other's company.
Some activities required creativity, some concentration and others simply a willingness to try something new. Together, they provided a good balance between focused work and time away from our everyday routines.
Our annual kick-off is an opportunity to work on Zooma together, but just as importantly, it's a chance to spend time together outside the office.
Thank you to everyone who made the two days at Sju Sjöar memorable, and a special thank you to Elisabet for organising another fantastic Zooma kick-off.
We captured plenty of moments along the way and will share more from our two days on LinkedIn and Instagram soon.
