In 2023, generative AI (GenAI) went mainstream. Companies of all sizes experimented with tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and GitHub Copilot. Workshops were held, hackathons flourished, and proofs-of-concept multiplied. But from 2024 and beyond, one thing is clear: the age of playtime is over.

For over two decades, Google was the first port of call for nearly everything in my life. It was my go-to for researching trends, solving problems, and finding inspiration. Its simplicity and speed have revolutionised the way we access information. But a while ago, I deliberately decided to stop relying on Google. I switched to generative AI tools, specifically the paid version of ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Grok, and Perplexity, and I haven't looked back.

Imagine a world where typing on a keyboard is as outdated as sending a fax. Instead of tapping away at keys, we will naturally and effortlessly ask for the necessary information or actions—just as if we were casually conversing with a friend. This isn't some far-off vision; this future is already taking shape thanks to the rapid evolution of generative AI and conversational interfaces.

Generative AI is a transformative force in B2B marketing, service, and sales. Its potential to elevate the quality of deliverables and the depth of relationships is promising and inspiring. However, while the potential is clear, many B2B companies are still meaningfully navigating the path to integrating this technology into their existing working methods.
