We're happy to welcome Rebecca, who joined us as an intern in January. She's brought a wonderful mix of experiences and fresh energy that’s already made her a standout on the team. You might also know her as the author of the weekly blogs on the Internship Hub, where she shares insights from her time with us.
Rebecca is finishing her studies in e-commerce management at IHM Business School. Her journey to Zooma has been anything but ordinary. She spent seven years working in the insurance industry, tried her hand in the restaurant business, and even gained experience in TV and film. Rebecca's career so far has been full of surprises and valuable lessons.
When asked why she chose Zooma, Rebecca shared how she carefully considered other offers but felt that Zooma would allow her to learn the most and work with a diverse team. She especially appreciated the structured onboarding process, which she described as thorough and welcoming.
It wasn’t just about introducing my tasks but about understanding the company’s culture and values.
Rebecca's past includes an unforgettable internship in Los Angeles with a Swedish agency that helped Scandinavian companies establish themselves in the U.S. It wasn't all smooth sailing, though! She shared a chaotic yet character-building story about moving nine times during her stay. Despite the challenges, Rebecca reflects on that experience with gratitude, saying it taught her resilience and adaptability.
Now at Zooma, Rebecca is excited to work on projects such as e-commerce sales on Shopify and enhancing the Zooma online presence using HubSpot. She's especially looking forward to learning more about project management and analytics, hoping to create measurable value for the team by the end of her internship.
Outside of her professional ambitions, Rebecca is an adventurer at heart. She loves travelling to places off the beaten path, where she can soak in local culture and discover hidden culinary gems. Music also plays a significant role in her life; Rebecca sings, plays piano and guitar, and enjoys making music with her family.
Her warmth and curiosity shine through in everything she does, and we are thrilled to have her on board.
