Every quarter, we set aside a half day for the whole team to focus on one thing: learning. We call it Certification Day. Last week we did it again.
How it started
What started six years ago as a simple idea has become a key Zooma habit and tradition. Several times a year, we take a break from our daily work to focus solely on learning. It is our way of staying curious, sharpening our skills, and ensuring we continue to deliver significant value to our customers.
What we worked on
Last week's session covered a lot of ground. The team pursued certifications across HubSpot, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Magnific AI, and Anthropic's Claude platform, among others. Some were brand new certifications. Others were retakes, a deliberate way to refresh our knowledge of the tools we use every day.
Following this Certification Day, the Zooma team now holds 184 active HubSpot certifications, reflecting our ongoing commitment to continuous learning and keeping our expertise up to date.

There's a broad range of focus areas across the team, and Certification Day reflects that. Some people explored topics such as generative AI, agentic workflows, and AI essentials for marketers. Others focused on platform-specific skills in areas like content, sales, reporting, and integrations.
Why do we keep doing this?
What we've found is that doing it together, as a team rather than individually, changes the experience. There's a shared energy to it. People share their experiences, support each other when someone passes a tricky exam, and leave having learnt something they can apply to their work right away.
It also just keeps us honest. The tools and platforms we work with are constantly evolving. Setting aside structured time to stay current feels like the least we can do, for ourselves and for our clients.
Six years in
It's become something the team looks forward to. Not because certifications are inherently exciting, but because taking a few hours to invest in your development, alongside the people you work with every day, turns out to be a pretty good way to spend a morning.
If your team hasn't explored HubSpot Academy yet, it's worth considering. Blocking a few dedicated hours together is often all it takes to get started.
