About Novar

Novar Energy, based in the Netherlands, has a drive to make the world more sustainable through green energy. By 2030, their goal is to generate 4 GW of renewable energy with green energy systems, including solar parks, storage, distribution, and management.

The challenge

At the beginning of 2024, Novar started an international expansion, with Sweden as the first market outside the Netherlands. To succeed, they decided to build awareness and generate leads to validate their market potential.

The objective was clear: launch a campaign in Sweden, with defined targets of 100 leads within six months in 2024 and 200 leads in 2025.

The solution

A key success factor for this project was Novars' highly engaged team; their input, collaboration, and curiosity throughout the process shaped the campaign’s direction and impact.

To reach and convert Swedish landowners effectively, together we focused on answering three questions:

Who do we want to reach?

The dedicated sales team from Novar had insights on the real questions and concerns landowners had, such as, 'How much can I earn?' and 'What happens to the land after the project?'

Where do we reach them?

Together, we selected Meta Ads as the communication channel because of its reach, cost efficiency, and smart optimisation. For execution, we concentrated on broad targeting and developed creatives that resonated with the audience.

How do we convert them?

In close collaboration, we iterated on the campaign concept, copy, and visuals based on insights from Novar's sales team. We created a clean, high-converting landing page.

The result

The campaign overperformed against all objectives, exceeding lead generation targets for both 2024 and 2025.

Meta’s algorithm proved highly cost-efficient when paired with clear, audience-focused visuals and direct ad copy. The campaign now generates approximately 72% of all incoming leads in the Swedish market and is a very valuable engine for growth.

Similar campaigns have now been launched in France and Germany, inspired by the successful outcome from the Swedish market.
