In the fast-paced marketing industry, continuous learning is key. I’ve been given time to dive into HubSpot Academy’s certification courses to keep up. In this week's article, I’ll share the insights I've gained and how the Pomodoro Technique has helped improve my focus and productivity. Here’s how these strategies are keeping me on track.
As mentioned, I dedicate eight hours weekly to completing HubSpot certification courses. These courses encompass a broad spectrum of topics, including content marketing, technical SEO, inbound marketing, and automation. To date, I have accumulated 32 hours of learning, and through this experience, I have come to appreciate the necessity of a well-structured study methodology.
Last week, I experimented with the "Pomodoro Technique," succinctly defined on Wikipedia as follows: 'The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a kitchen timer to break work into intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a Pomodoro, from the Italian word for tomato, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a university student…'

Although I lack the traditional tomato timer, I use a more modern gadget: the phone. While the most effective study method can vary depending on mood and mental state on any given day, the Pomodoro Technique is an exceptionally efficient tool for maintaining focus without overburdening the mind.
HubSpot Academy's curriculum not only imparts specialised knowledge about HubSpot but also offers a comprehensive exploration of broader marketing and sales concepts. They provide valuable insights about trends and news in the industry, best practices and articles, blogs, and inspiring leaders to follow to keep up in a constant, fast-changing industry. What I have learnt is that if you are not proactive and curious about the latest trends and news, you will not be able to keep up with your competitors who are. So you can engage, get inspired, and share insights to stay in the loop. By doing so, we ensure our relevance and ability to provide our audiences with exceptional experiences—whether for personal growth or in pursuit of business objectives.
Until next time!
