Why a podcast?

Why a podcast?

Listening to a podcast is becoming more and more business-related. In this article, I'll explain why you should start your company podcast!

More and more companies have started to use a podcast as a company channel. Why? Because it's a personal way to reach existing and prospective customers. It's also an easy and cost-effective way to share your company's personality and expertise within an industry.

A podcast gives your audience great freedom to choose when and how to interact with your content. Imagine the scenario of vacuuming the floor - would you consider reading an article or listening to a podcast as the most accessible option at the same time?

Before I decided to challenge myself with creating The Internship Pod, working with the podcast format was unfamiliar. That's also the reason why I said yes to the challenge.

Hosting a podcast teach you so much more than just how to talk into a microphone. It teaches you how to create a strategy for making knowledge come to life during a conversation, where each episode becomes its own project.

I believe this is a skill everyone should possess within the media and communication field. If you work with digital communication, why not be equally confident in talking content as writing content?

Written content is an art form, where words can be equally living as someone speaking in a podcast if you have the writing skills. I'm not saying one format is necessarily better than the other, but I believe you get a stronger connection to the person behind a name and a title when you hear a voice.

Are you considering starting a podcast? Do it!

Until next time
