Black Friday is spreading like wildfire across the world. In the last week of November, many of us go mad and buy lots of stuff we don’t need—only because it’s cheap. Meanwhile, poverty increases all around us, including our hometown of Gothenburg.
At Zooma, we believe that you should spend resources wisely. Funds should be used to reach defined goals that are the result of careful considerations and wise decisions. We are also convinced that most people are humble and caring at heart, but amidst the shopping bonanza that is Black Friday, we can all benefit from being reminded of those in our society that are less fortunate.
So we have decided to turn this years' Black Friday into Charity Friday and support two local organisations that actively contribute to fighting poverty in our hometown of Gothenburg.
On Friday, Zooma donates SEK 1,000 per employee, equally shared by Faktum and Stadsmissionen. Thank you for everything you actively do to alleviate the suffering for those that need it most in Gothenburg!
Here you can find the poverty report 2019 (in Swedish) from Stadsmissionen.
