Last week, Dora Meleg, our newest team member at Zooma, joined us as a CRM Specialist. Dora brings a wealth of experience from the dynamic world of startups and marketing, and we're excited to see how her expertise will contribute to our team and clients.
Dora's career path has been anything but conventional. Starting in sales, she soon transitioned into marketing and gained experience working at an agency specialising in LinkedIn advertising. Through this agency, she connected with a startup that recognised her talent and invited her to become their first in-house marketer. That experience was transformative, as she played a key role in driving the company to become one of the most successful startups in Hungary.
Even when CRM wasn’t officially part of my job description, I naturally became the go-to person for it. Realising this was my strength and passion, I decided to specialise in CRM and Operations.
Dora took on various marketing responsibilities throughout her career, from SEO and PPC to email marketing and events. However, one area always stood out: Sales and Marketing Operations and HubSpot-related projects. Even when CRM wasn't officially part of her job description, she naturally became the go-to person. Realising this was her strength and passion, Dora decided to specialise in CRM and Operations and sought out an agency with deep expertise in the field. That's what led her to Zooma.
When looking for the perfect fit, Dora wanted to join an agency with extensive experience and a strong mentoring culture. She researched HubSpot's elite and diamond partners, narrowing her search to countries where she felt the best cultural fit—ultimately landing on the UK and Nordic regions. That's when she found Zooma's open application and applied, excited to grow and refine her skills in a supportive, expert-driven environment.
Since day one, Dora has appreciated Zooma's warm and welcoming culture. When she received LinkedIn messages and connection requests from the Zoomers, she felt a genuine sense of belonging before she started team introductions and shared lunches.
A few days after signing my contract, but still two weeks aways from the starting date, warm greetings started pouring into my LinkedIn inbox from my soon-to-be colleagues. Once I arrived for my onboarding, I already felt a sense of familiarity and belonging.
Dora describes herself as highly adaptable, a skill honed from working in fast-paced startup environments. Used to juggling multiple projects and learning new tools quickly, she's eager to apply her experience to benefit both our team and clients. While startup culture often promotes a 'move fast and break things' mentality, Dora is excited to refine her approach in an agency setting, learning best practices from experienced mentors like Tobias and Stellan.
Dora's primary goal at Zooma is to deepen her expertise in CRM and HubSpot, taking on the challenge of mastering the platform within just a few months. She thrives on competition and challenges—attributes she credits to her background as a national-level athlete in acrobatics. In fact, before joining Zooma, she took a career break to return to competitive sports and represent Hungary once again.
A
side from work, Dora spends much of her time coaching young athletes in acrobatics, a passion she has pursued since childhood. She's also a proud pet parent to two Maine Coon cats—who, as she points out, are bound to be a hit on Zooma's social media (because, let's be honest, cats rule the internet!).
