Recently, we looked back at last year's figures and discovered that in 2020, Zooma donated 3% of its profitability to charity.
We've always tried to support good causes as much as possible, so it was great to be able to discover this figure! We work with a number of charitable organisations, but here are the main groups we donate to – both with time and money:
- Göteborgs Stadsmission – Everyone thinks it's wrong that people have to live in poverty, but Stadsmissionen does something about it. The organisation works in a large number of different areas, but they primarily help children, young people and families in Gothenburg who live in poverty, as well as with the elderly, the homeless, and those with addiction problems.
- Faktum – Faktum is a magazine that provides an income and opportunities to those who sell it. The sellers buy the magazine for 40 kronor and sell it for 80 kronor, and keep the profit. Aside from this, the Faktum organisation works to shape public opinion around homelessness and the vulnerable in society.
- BRIS – BRIS stands for Barnens Rätt i Samhället, or Children's Rights in Society. The organisation works to build a better society for children, and provides direct help to vulnerable children around Sweden.
- Plan International – This organisation was founded in 1937, and has worked tirelessly since then to advance children's rights and equality for girls around the world. Among other things, Plan International provides education, skills and emergency relief for children in some of the world's poorest countries.
Follow the links above to find out more about these organisations – we'll continue to support them as much as we can in the future.
