This coming Monday, 6 June, is the national holiday in Sweden, and the Zooma office will be closed. However, we'll be back as usual on Tuesday 7 June.
Once again, the Zooma team will be enjoying a long weekend. But, this time, it's for National Day - a relatively new national holiday that commemorates two things:
- The selection of Gustav Vasa as King on 6 June 1523, which marked the establishment of Sweden as an independent country.
- The adoption of the 1809 Instrument of Government, which turned Sweden from an absolute monarchy to a more modern and democratic constitutional monarchy.
In reality, most Swedes see National Day as a nice day off in the Spring when you can spend time with friends and family.
That's what most of the Zoomers will be doing this weekend - whatever you've got planned, enjoy, and we'll see you on Tuesday!
