KPMG AI Quarterly Pulse Survey

2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Content Marketing Platforms

1. Spring spotlight: Key HubSpot updates

Right after April's Spring Spotlight, several notable updates landed in HubSpot:

  • Multi-account management
You can now connect up to five HubSpot portals, making it possible to copy assets like workflows and forms across accounts. This is a powerful feature for teams managing multiple brands or regions.

  • Data mirroring (Pro+)
With Sales or Service Hub Pro or Enterprise, you can now view and export content from one portal to another. A helpful step toward scalable data integration — but be sure to follow legal compliance standards.

  • Customisable standard objects
Rename default objects (like Deals or Companies) to match your own business language (e.g., Accounts, Opportunities). Helpful for internal clarity, which can boost user adoption.

2. New buyer intent insights

HubSpot expanded its Buyer Intent feature with Research Intent. This lets you see if contacts in your target market are researching your offerings, even outside your website. Over 200,000 third-party sites are already connected. Think of it as a lightweight alternative to ZoomInfo or 6sense — built into your CRM.

3. AI Strategy: Deeper layers and strategic acquisitions

Two recent acquisitions highlight HubSpot's AI-first strategy:

  • Dashworks
A specialist in AI-powered search and knowledge management. This tool will enrich the foundational layer of HubSpot's AI architecture, not just user-facing tools like Copilot.

  • Frame AI
Built for proactive AI and unstructured data. Frame AI supports a unified context layer so all AI tools in HubSpot can operate in a shared context. Think fewer silos, more intelligence.

4. HubSpot's positioning in the market

  • Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Marketing
HubSpot was named a Leader alongside Optimizely. Investments in tools like Content Remix and Content Agents are clearly being recognised.

  • Cashflow acquisition
The Cashflow CEO is now VP of Commerce Hub — working on building CPQ (Configure Price Quote) functionality into HubSpot. A native starter-to-enterprise commerce hub is likely on the horizon.

  • Q1 2025 performance
Strong YoY revenue growth, 23% increase in large deals, and strong traction in enterprise markets. All signs point toward successful upmarket expansion and AI-first strategy.

5. Highlight of the month: AI agents and real usage

A recent KPMG survey of 130 C-level execs (US companies, $ 1 B+ revenue) revealed that only 11% have deployed an AI agent. Most are still piloting or experimenting.

That makes HubSpot's delivery of ready-to-use AI agents, like the Prospecting Agent, especially impressive. According to EVP of Product Andrew Pitre, this was his favourite product launch of the year. It's simple, practical, and live while others are still planning.

What you can do

  • Test multi-account features if you manage several HubSpot portals.

  • Look into the Research Intent feature for buyer signal insights.

  • Explore the Prospecting Agent — even as a pilot.

  • Keep an eye on the coming CPQ features in Commerce Hub.

00:00:05:24 - 00:00:35:19
Hey everyone! Welcome to the HubSpot outlook for May 2025. Today, from the 6 to 9 office. Today we will discuss the most important HubSpot updates, export news and trends, and look into some of the latest research. Starting with the updates. There was a lot of updates because right after we did, the April update came up with our spring spotlight and the most important ones of those, spring spotlight.

00:00:35:21 - 00:00:56:19
We will show you here. So firstly, the Multi-account management feature. This lets you connect up to five different HubSpot portals with each other, and you're doing the marketing and the price for it. But when you have it, you can copy assets like workflows and forms from one portal to the next. There also is the feature of data mirroring.

00:00:56:21 - 00:01:08:11
For that, you need a sales or service hub, pro or enterprise for that. That allows you to view content data from one portal and export it. Of course, keep in mind all the legal aspects of this.

00:01:08:13 - 00:01:34:13
Last month, HubSpot also brought us some updates for data model customization. So one of the things that we can do now is rename the standard HubSpot objects like deals and companies to things that fit more with your business language, like accounts and opportunities. Also, we got a new centralized view and recommend, for the data model and AI powered recommendations for has improved the data model.

00:01:34:15 - 00:02:01:15
But these two are still in beta. Then as a third thing, that research intent HubSpot did launched, by Renton some time ago, but they've now added research content. This allows you to view if people in your target markets are also researching your product or service on places other than your own website. So there's currently more than 200,000 websites connected to this.

00:02:01:17 - 00:02:22:09
More are coming. Some of this potentially could replace tools like Sixth Sense or Zoom info, or other tools that allows you to research buyer intent, research that. All right. Let's look at some of the most relevant news and, recent happenings in the world of HubSpot. Firstly, I want to talk a little bit about, an acquisition that HubSpot.

00:02:22:12 - 00:02:48:10
They bought a company called Dash works. Dash works was a startup that was specialized in AI powered search and knowledge management. The Hubspot's AI or and the brewery's intelligence model consists of a couple of different layers, and the top layer you recognize, that's the user. The user facing tools like Copilot stuff you see just in your marketing, helping your sales hub.

00:02:48:12 - 00:03:19:05
The agents there's layers below that for for integration. For the security, for, context. So this, tool will be more towards the, the lower, layers of the AI model. Same as frame AI, which is a tool that, they bought. And now we've learned a little bit more about what that means. So friendly AI is more, like proactive AI.

00:03:19:07 - 00:03:45:25
So in terms of the intelligence layer of the model, and also is really good at looking at unstructured data. So in the context layer, so their, their main focus is to build a unified context layer so that the different agents, the different AI tools don't use their own context or their own, model. But to have a really a unified layer.

00:03:46:00 - 00:04:10:22
And then onwards to the 2025 Magic Quadrant for content marketing, platforms like Gartner. Hopefully is positioned here as a as a leader together with our friends at Optimizely. And it's great to see that with these investments that HubSpot has done over the past year in Content Hub, specifically content Remix and their content agents are paying off and Mark getting acknowledged here.

00:04:10:26 - 00:04:33:29
There's one more acquisition I want to address, which was the one that they, did end of last year of cash flow. It's a little bit more, details now. Cash flow there. CEO is now the VP of Commerce Hub and got tasked with rebuild cash flow, natively into HubSpot. So most likely after inbound, we will see.

00:04:33:29 - 00:05:01:08
And this is a bit of a gut feeling, but most likely we will see HubSpot come out with, with a full like Cpq or configure price quote solution, most likely also meaning that there will be starter Pro and enterprise levels for the Commerce hub, which is currently completely free. Lastly, the Q1 results came out of, HubSpot, showing good growth and revenue of 60% year over year for the first quarter.

00:05:01:10 - 00:05:23:17
Also, they have been moving more and more upmarket, and there they have seen a 23% increase in larger deals, which is great. So their strategy is is getting traction. And then, of course, with all these numbers, there was a lot of emphasis on, how they are succeeding as AI first solution and their AI first strategy.

00:05:23:17 - 00:05:51:29
for the highlight of this month we have the KPMG AI Quarterly Pulse survey, which is research KPMG does with 130 C-level executives, US based, companies of $1 billion or more annually. Now, of those hundred and 30, only 11% said that they have actually deployed, an AI agent. Most are in the face of, like, piloting and experimenting.

00:05:52:01 - 00:06:14:08
And this is an interesting number because, I was able to ask Andy Petrie some questions, last week. He's, executive VP of product at HubSpot. And I asked him, like, what has been your favorite product update of the past 12 months? And for him, that was the prospecting agents. And sort of with this number in mind, that's interesting.

00:06:14:08 - 00:06:35:27
It's it's quite a big win to be able to deliver an out of the box and easy to deploy agent, when so many people are struggling with actually getting their agent life. And I would really encourage you to check out this, prospecting agents. That was it for this time. Of course, the mentioned resources will be linked around.

00:06:35:27 - 00:06:43:25
And as always, feel free to grab some time on my calendar if you want to continue a discussion or have some questions. But.
