We do not build a healthy team by chance. It is built by intention, reflection, and action.
In 2024, we took an important step by conducting our first team health survey. The goal was clear: to better understand how our teams experience their work, collaborate, and perform, and to identify where we could genuinely improve.
One year later, in 2025, we repeated the survey with all Zoomers. This was not just a formality; it aimed to address a much more important question. Did we really become better?
The answer is encouraging and motivating.
Why we measure team health
Team health is not a soft metric. It directly influences how decisions are made, how ideas are shared, how trust is built, and ultimately how results are delivered for both customers and the business.
When teams are healthy:
- People take ownership
- Collaboration becomes natural
- Innovation accelerates
- Performance is sustainable
That is why we see team health as a leadership responsibility, not an HR exercise.
2025 results: Progress you can feel
Compared to our 2024 baseline, the 2025 survey shows clear and meaningful improvement.

- 13 health drivers improved
- All remaining drivers stayed stable
- None declined'
Research from McKinsey on team effectiveness shows that teams perform better when they score well on key drivers such as trust, communication, innovative thinking, and decision-making, and these improvements are reflected in our 2025 results.
This matters. Improvement without regression tells us something important. Our actions did not just sound positive; they were.
We not only maintain what is strong but also actively strengthen what matters most.
What got better and why
The progress we see did not happen by accident. It is the result of deliberate focus and consistent follow-through.
Across the organisation, we have seen tangible improvements in areas such as:
- Clarity around goals and purpose
- Quality of collaboration and communication
- Psychological safety and recognition
- How teams reflect, learn, and improve together
These gains reinforce a simple but powerful truth. When people feel heard and supported, performance follows.
Turning feedback into action
After the 2024 survey, we committed to acting on the results, not just reporting them.
Some of the concrete actions we focused on include:
Clear goals and purpose
We worked to sharpen team objectives internally, across teams, and at the client level, so everyone understands not only what we do but also why it matters.
Better meetings
Every internal and external meeting is now expected to have a clear purpose and agenda. Fewer meetings lead to better conversations and stronger outcomes.
Psychological safety and recognition
We made recognition a shared responsibility. Appreciation and gratitude are no longer optional. They are part of how we work.
These actions may seem simple. Their impact is not.
Where this journey began
This work was initiated in 2024 by our leadership team, which recognised the need to gain a deeper understanding of how our teams experience their everyday work. They believed that sustainable performance starts with insights into trust, collaboration, and decision-making as they are lived out in practice.
From the outset, the intention was to use insights as a foundation for more effective conversations and informed decisions. The progress we see in the 2025 results reflects the value of starting with listening and staying committed to improvement over time.
Why this matters beyond the numbers
This survey is not about scores. It is about creating an environment where:
- People can do their best work
- Teams trust each other
- Ideas are challenged constructively
- Success is shared
Investing in team health is an investment in long-term performance, resilience, and growth.
The 2025 results give us confidence that we are moving in the right direction.
What is next
We will continue this journey.
Our next team health survey will take place later this year. It will allow us to track progress, learn from setbacks, and keep improving. Our desired future state does not unfold linearly; commitment is crucial.
We look forward to sharing what we learn next.
